Panic! At The Disco: Emperor's New Clothes (Review)

Hola! Setelah tiga bulan yang lalu merilis PV Hallelujah, kali ini Panic! At The Disco, band legendaris yang sekarang kayaknya nggak bisa disebut band lagi soalnya personilnya tinggal satu, merilis PV terbarunya, Emperor's New Clothes pada tanggal 21 Oktober 2015 lalu.

First Impression: Abang Brandon Urie ini mulai stress kayaknya

Awalnya kita bakal disuguhi dengan bagian Reff dari "This is Gospel", yang bikin gue nebak-nebak berhadiah kalau Emperor's New Clothes ini masih lanjutannya. DEMI APAPUN INI VIDEO PALING MENGERIKAN YANG PERNAH GUE TONTON!!! Bukan masalah kostumnya yang cadas, keren abis untuk setingkat PV, konsep dan artistiknya yang mateng khas PATD banget, tapi entahlah, mungkin perasaan gue aja atau gimana tapi video ini emang serem-aneh-giman-gitu *mulai nggak objektif*

YAK, KITA BAHAS AJA PER-SCENE NYA. cekidot!

Kalo masih inget adegan di "This Is Gospel" nah pasti bakal nemu scene ini

Scene ini juga. Lalu setelah 'dipaksa-mati atau semacam itu' adegan selanjutnya putih kosong

abis itu kita bakal ngeliat siluet om Brandon lari-lari menuju cahaya terang yang makin samar-samar

Sampai akhirnya scene nya balik putih polos lagi

samar-samar-makin-jelas si om brandon ini bangun. Ini seperti 'terbangun dari mimpi' atau kalo di pilem-pilem 'baru ngeh kalo udah mati yang kemudian biasanya dilanjutkan dengan dialog "aku dimana? ini surga ya? apakah aku sudah mati?" sinetronbanget.com

Kemudian, si om ini tiba-tiba terjungkal ke belakang menuju kegelapan. mengulang adegan lari menuju cahaya tadi, makin lama om brandon hilang ditelan kegelapan

samar-samar *lagi*akhirnya mulai ada view sebuah tempat yang gelap, gersang, dengan banyak tengkorak dan tulang belulang berserakan

Lalu ada sebuah cahaya terang dan siluet setan yang 'nari gaje' pokoknya semacam gerakan aneh gitulah

Cameranya balik lagi ke om Brandon yang ternyata lagi terbaring di tempat itu, akhirnya dia bangun *melek* dengan ekspresi antara bingung, kaget, takut *ciamik bener ini si om ngebawain ekspresinya, dapet banget*

Pas dia mau bangun, dia nyadar ada keanehan di tangannya. Tangannya berubah menjadi 'tangan setan'

Nggak kuat ngeliat gue, si om nekat buka baju Lalu dia merasakan 'transformasi' pada seluruh tubuhnya sedikit demi sedikit dan merasakan 'kesakitan'

Mungkin adegan ini kalo menurut gue semacam, menyerah setelah berusaha memberontak dan menolak. Kalau di scene sebelumnya, om berusaha buat menolak transformasi tubuhnya menjadi setan, lalu disini dia udah nyerah dan pasrah karena kalah kekuatan

perut membuncit karena busung lapar di adegan ini si om ngebuka baju dan kita bisa ngeliat 'transformasinya'

Tuh, disini badannya udah mulai berubah jadi setan. Lagi-lagi dia nunjukkin ekspresi gue-pengen-ngeberontak-sakit-takut-sedih-tapi-apa-daya-ga-mampu-ngelawan-jadinya-pasrah-aja

Mulai adegan ini kebelakang, bikin perasaan nggak enak ngeliatnya. Semacam peran ganda. Disini, om nunjukkin si 'setan' yang terlihat senang dan menang karena udah hampir berhasil menguasai om sepenuhnya

kemudian terlihat si om yang berusaha menolak tapi psrah juga. Ini jadi semacam perang batin gitu

pergolakan batin antara si setan yang berusaha menguasai dan si om yang berusaha mempertahankan dirinya

Lalu, somehow, gue ngerasa makin ke belakang si 'brandon urie' udah nggak ada. yang ada tinggal si setan ini tapi proses 'nggak ada' nya itu bener-bener alus banget penggambarannya.

Ini yang bikin makin nggak enak perasaan. Dari menit ini ke belakang, adegannya cuma diisi dengan close-up muka dengan berbagai ekspresi yang sulit untuk gue jelaskan, gambar putih dan item polos doang dengan cepat, dan tulang belulang dan view tempatnya (?) gitu terus diulang-ulang dengan cepat

Udah mau ending nih. Scene siluet ini lumayan lama lho. Ini ngingetin gue ama setan siapa gitu, lupa, yyang seolah sedang berusaha untuk menguasai kita semua

Di bagian ini lagunya udah kelar. Tapi scene ini juga nggak kalah lamanya. memperlihatkan perubahan ekspresi dari 'datar' (?) menjadi....

senang. mungkin karena akhirnya setan ini sudah berhasil 'menguasai'

GIMANA? Ngeri?
Mungkin orang-orang yang gemar menguak soal teori-teori konspirasi bakal lumayan heboh ngebahas video ini. Ini video mah bener-bener video brainwash.

Kalau menurut gue pribadi, sebagai fans Panic! At the Disco, gue pun dengan sangat terpaksa mengakui kalau misalnya ada yang beranggapan om Brandon Urie adalah penganut Satanis atau 'menjual diri' ke setan untuk meraih popularitas macam gosip-gosip yang sering beredar di kalangan musisi papan atas, gue setuju.

Udah tau begitu, dan gue masih aja jadi fansnya... itulah yang dinamakan bodoh.

Mungkin nanti akan ada dua pendapat, macam pro-kontra soal The Gazette (band visual kei Jepang yang cihuy abis itu) adalah pengikut Illuminati.

Pro: Ada beberapa symbol yang meyakinkan *mungkin lain kali dibahas di blog lain*, perubahan scene yang terlihat janggal berkali-kali itu tipikal video-video brainwash yang menghipnotis, kalau di cermati banget video ini juga menimbulkan perasaan aneh yang nggak ilang-ilang dari otak. Dan bla bla bla....pokoknya itu terlalu jelas lah.

Kontra: ini versi pembelaan. Di video ini seolah-olah Brandon ini mau cerita ketika awal dia masuk industri musik, kemudian dia 'dipaksa' dan menukarkan 'jiwa' dengan popularitas yang ia raih *bisa diliat di adegan awal yang masih satu adegan sama This is Gospel*. Kemudian, ia menyesal, dan berusaha untuk 'lepas' tapi tidak bisa. Ia berusaha memberontak, tapi tidak bisa karena ia sudah 'terikat'. Lalu diakhir, ia seolah ingin menegaskan, 'No more Brandon Urie...' *bukan secara harfiah ya*. Setan akan menguasai kita...

YAK begitulah kira-kira pembahasannya soal PV terbaru Panic! At the Disco. Pokoknya gue udah bilang ya, ini video bikin pusing dan perasaan nggak enak tapi kalo mau nonton, monggo check di bawah ini :P
